Management
Arc Human Services is a subsidiary of Aadvantage, Inc. It is managed by a very talented group of directors who have substantial expertise serving those in need across a broad spectrum of services, including residential, vocational, children’s, and social programs. Each member of our management team is devoted to quality programming and effective communication across experienced support teams.
Jim Settembrino, Director
In July 2009, Jim was appointed Director of Arc Human Services.

For five years prior to that, Jim ran Residential Recovery Services, the Mental Health subsidiary of Aadvantage, Inc. For much of that time period, he also reorganized our children’s services for Arc Human Services, including Camp Laughalot and Club Arc. During that time, Jim managed teams of workers who provided services and support to over 300 clients, and those services include most of the programs that we offer, including residential; supportive housing; in-home and in-community activities; as well as summer camp and social groups.
Jim has worked closely with administrators and department heads in all counties where we operate, including Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Greene, and Washington, as well as with state, federal, and local officials.
Prior to working at Arc of Washington County/Arc Human Services, Jim worked for the Allegheny County Department of…. where developed and directed the first mental retardation “wrap-around” program in Western Pennsylvania. That program offered children and young adults (from ages three-to-twenty) the opportunity to receive clinical care in their homes, schools, and communities. It involved coordinating with provider agencies and the PA Office of Developmental Programs so that clients could receive convenient, therapeutic support that they deserved as well as interact in safe, interesting, and fun social settings. Camp Laughalot and Club Arc are two examples of such programs.
He has a Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health from Trinity College in Burlington, Vermont.
