Children’s Services
Arc Human Services currently operates Children’s/In-Home Services in four Counties- Washington, Allegheny, Butler and Greene. This service offers children, adolescents and adults, young and older, the opportunity to work on individualized goals to enhance current abilities and/or develop new skills. This is done through several funding sources including medical assistance and waiver.

Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services (BHRS)
BHRS is a core part of the program. Based on a recommendation from a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist, children are able to receive services in their home and community. Levels of services include BSC (Behavioral Specialist Consultant), MT (Mobile Therapy), TSS (Therapeutic Staff Support) STAP (Summer Therapeutic Activities Program) and FBA (Functional Behavior Analysis). Qualified staff work as a team with families to create highly individualized behavior plans and assist with transferring skills to the parents and primary caretakers.
Individualized Supports (IS)
IS also known as Habilitative Services, are provided in the home and the community to address specific goals outlined through the ISP (Individualized Support plan) process. Goals include health and safety issues as well as community integration.
Social Activities
The children’s program offers one of our most popular services, Camp Laughalot, an integrated, summer day-camp serving children, ages 6-18, with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. Camp Laughalot provides life-enriching experiences through a planned program of structured activities, as well as supervised recreation.

Other services provided by the Children’s/In-Home Program include a social group Club Arc and The Giggle Gang that conduct ongoing activities for children, adolescents and their families.
All Children’s/In-Home services promote educational, vocational and social development while boosting self-esteem. We are striving each day to “exceed our goals.”
